4 arrested for encroaching forest land

JAMMU, Sept 17: Bhatindi police today arrested three land grabbers, who had encroached forest land in Sunjwan area.
A police spokesman said that, Bhatindi police received a complaint from Forest Department regarding encroachment of Forest land in Sunjwan opposite PDD office.
In a swift action police conducted a raid and arrested all the four accused persons namely Muneer Ahmed, son of Mohammad Din, Abdul Majid alias Bitu, son of Meer Ali, Mohammad Ashraf, son of Fiaz Ali, all residents of Sunjwan and Nisar Ahmed Butt, son of Feroz Din of Ward Number 10, District Rajouri.
A case under FIR number 199/13 under Section 447-A RPC and 6/39 Forest Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar Police Station against the accused person and further investigation started.
Police party led by SHO Chanchal Singh made the arrest.
