JAMMU, Dec 12: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan, the Revenue authorities of Jammu West retrieved 39 Kanals of State land worth Rs 23 crores in a prime location at village Gole of Tehsil Jammu West district.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu has categorically directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars during revenue officers meetings to make lists of all such illegal encroachers who have encroached upon State, Kahcharai & Common Land and evict them after following due procedures and laws.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Jammu West directed field staff to prepare lists of all such encroachers who have encroached upon State Kahcharai and Common Land by illegal means.
Naib Tehsildar Gole after perusal of respective spots and relevant revenue records has reported that nearly 16 people have encroached upon 39 Kanals state land, Sarkar Makbooja Sarkar near SoS School by raising pacca structures over it.
Tehsildar in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 133 of Land Revenue Act, Svt.1996 along with field staff, after providing due opportunity of being heard to all illegal occupants within the provisions of the Land Revenue Act, issued order for eviction of all encroachers from State Land measuring 39 kanals at Gole retrieved the same on spot by demolishing all pacca structure raised over it.
Tehsildar further instructed field staff to remain vigilant and act tough against all illegal encroachers in respective areas of their jurisdiction.
