37 bovines rescued, 2 held

JAMMU, May 18: Ramgarh and Chinore police rescued 37 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Ramgarh police station arrested two persons who were smuggling bovines on foot.
Bovine smugglers identified as Bashir, son of Mashroom Ali and Hakim Din, son of Salim Ali, both residents of Ramgarh were arrested and 33 bovine animals rescued.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Ramgarh police station and investigation started.
The arrest was made by SHO Mushtaq Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur SS Sambyal and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
Meanwhile, a police team from Chinore police post headed by PSI Deepak Katoch under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar and SHO Domana police station Vijay Choudhary laid a naka near Bantalab and intercepted a vehicle.
During checking, police recovered 4 bovine animals, while the smugglers managed to escape from the spot taking benefit of the darkness leaving behind the vehicle.
A case has been registered at Chinore police post and manhunt has been launched to nab the smugglers.
