36 bovines rescued

JAMMU,  Sept 16: In its drive against bovine smuggling,  Kandi  police rescued 36 bovine animals from two different places in Rajouri district today.
A police party of Police Station,  Kandi rescued 30 bovine animals which were being smuggled by foot towards Kashmir. Two smugglers namely Mohd Liaqat and Nazir Hussain, residents of Tattapani were arrested and  a case FIR No.  86/2017 under section 188 RPC & 3 PCAA was registered against them.
In yet another similar case, a  bovines smuggling bid was foiled by team of Police Post Chingus at Kallar. The team  rescued six bovine animals from smugglers who were transporting them through vehicles. In this action,  Police  seized all the three involved vehicles and arrested driver.
A case FIR No. 405/2017 under section 188 RPC, 3 PCAA was registered.
