NMC urges CM to release employees’ salary before Dussehra

JAMMU, Sept 16: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged upon the Chief Minister to adopt the same pattern to release salary/pension of employees and pensioners of State Government before upcoming Dussehra festival, as was done in case of Eid.
Addressing a meeting of workers here at Gandhi Nagar, NMC president, Subhash Shastri, said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, had directed the release of salary before Eid-ul-Azha festival, which was an employee-friendly gesture. He said that similar practice should be followed in case of upcoming Dussehra festival and in future as well so that employees can celebrate their religious festivals with fervour and gaiety.
Expressing grave concern over the Central Government decision for its meager release of 1% DA to its employees and pensioners, Shastri brought home the point that consumer price index had projected DA installment of 3 or 4% but still it was restricted to only paltry one percent. He demanded an early release of 7% DA in favour of the employees and pensioners of the State Government so that employees and pensioners would get a sigh of relief.
