JAMMU, Jan 17: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat today anti- encroachment drive was started by Tehsildar Beripatten in the area.
During operation the team demolished a building and evicted one Sham Lal resident of village Sleri, Kangri from the state land. The officials said Sham Lal had encroached 32 kanals of state land under khasra number 1586 and had constructed one building over there.
Today Tehsildar Beripatten Mehrukh Fatima visited the spot along with Revenue team and police force and demolished the building by using JCB and covered the land by raising poles. Tehsildar told that this drive will continue to remove encroachment from State lands, Custodian lands, Kahcharai, Gair Mumkin Nallah & others lands.
