UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Chenani Police rescued 32 bovine animals and seized the truck used in smuggling besides arresting the accused driver, here last night.
Based on reliable information, a truck bearing registration number JK14B-7099 was intercepted by a Police party at motor shed Chennai led by SHO Chenani, SI Sanjeet Sharma, under the supervision of Dy SP Chanderjeet Singh at Motor Shed.
During checking, 32 bovine animals were rescued from the said truck. Police also arrested driven of the truck, namely Abdul Qayoom, son of Sharif Hussain Gujjar of Sujalta Udhampur.
A case FIR number 106/18, under Section 188 RPC, 3PCA has been registered in this connection at Police Station Chenani.
