JAMMU, Nov 28: Bishnah police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Mehmoodpur and apprehended a person along with 1.20 grams of heroin.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Kumar alias Sonu Baba of Village Seora Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 205/18 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma and assisted by SI Ankuj made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and DIG JKS Range/SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
