RAMBAN, Dec 20: A joint team of State Pollution Control Board, Forest Protection Force J-9 Batote and Municipal Committee Ramban carried out surprise checks in Seri, Bouli Bazaar, Maitra, Batti and Karol markets.
During checking, the team seized more than 30 kgs of banned polythene carry bags and imposed Rs 4,200 as penalty on various shopkeepers.
The team was led by Kuldeep Bhan, Divisional Officer, SPCB Ramban and assisted bt AR Lone, Director Forest Protection Force J-9 Batote and Zubaida Perveen, Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ramban, besides other officials of respective departments.
