30 bovines rescued

RAJOURI, June 29: The police rescued 30 bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir in Budhal and Thannamandi areas of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that at around 1400hrs today, a police team from PP Teryath during naka at Kainchi Morh, Teryath, found one Shabir Ahmed, son of Billu, hailing from Khorbani, tehsil Khawas and five others trying to smuggle twenty-one (21) bovine animals on- foot via Budhal to Kashmir.
The police rescued the animals and arrested these persons. A case FIR No. 94/2021 u/s 188/IPC 11PCA act has been registered in PS Dharamsal.
The police during yet another Naka at upper bridge Thannamandi at around 4 am, intercepted a vehicle- Tata Mobile bering registration number JK 11B- 8285 which was coming from Thannamandi toward DKG and Mughal Road. The driver stopped the vehicle at some distance fled the spot. The police found 6 bovine animals loaded without any permission of DM Rajouri. On this a case FIR No.146/21 u/s 188 ipc 11pca stand registered in Police Station Thannamandi.
Meanwhile, police party from Budhal during Naka at Draj intercepted one person namely- Sajjad Ahmed, son of Faiz Mohd from Rajnager- Budhal along with three bovine animals, who was carrying from Tuli towards Kashmir without DM’s permission on-foot. In this regard a case FIR No 71/2021 u/s 188/11PCA stand registered at Budhal Police Station. The accused was arrested and bovines seized.
