Samba, Feb 28: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba Police seized three vehicles including two tippers & one Dumper in Sub-Division Samba, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
A Police team of Police Station (PS ) Ghagwal while performing routine vehicle checking at naka NHW, Tapyal intercepted a tipper having Regd. No. JK02CG-7607 for illegal transportation of construction material (Bajri).
Similarly, Police team of PS Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdiction area, intercepted two vehicle inculding a Tipper having Regd. No. JK02CB-4366 and a Dumper with Regd. No. JK02CN-2469 which were engaged in illegal mining of sand alongside Basanter river bed, near ITI College, Sumb Road, Samba.
All the three vehicles intercepted by Samba Police were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
