JAMMU, Feb 28: Sainik Colony police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Tarseem Chand, son of Parmanand Sharma of Sainik Colony with Police Post Sainik Colony stating that some unknown thieves entered into his house and decamped with 4 LPG cylinders, one inverter battery and one induction.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 25/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Channi Himmat and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Sainik Colony led by SI Anil Kumar rounded up several suspects and finally with the help of technical assistance and CCTV camera footages, arrested the thief, who was identified as Labba Ram, son of Mansa Ram of Kotli Chakran Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the aforesaid stolen items were recovered.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain his involvement in other such cases.
