JAMMU, Oct 14: Parade police today arrested three vehicle lifters and recovered 4 stolen scooties from their possession.
As per police sources, on October 5 this year, a complaint was lodged by Meera Sharma, wife of Ajay Gupta of Last Morh Gandhi Nagar with Police Station Pacca Danga regarding theft of her scooty bearing registration number JK02BK-0358 from Parade area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 153/19 was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
During investigation, a team headed by Incharge Police Post Parade rounded up several suspects and developed leads. Based on leads, a person identified as Himanshu Gill alias Prince, son of Anthoni Gill of Rehari was apprehended. On his disclosure, the above said stolen scooty was recovered.
During further questioning, Gill admitted that two more persons namely Sandeep Kumar, son of Parkash Singh of Nanak Nagar, Jammu and Dev Singh alias Sunny, son of Lalit Chauhan of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu are involved in above said vehicle theft case, who were also apprehended.
On their disclosure, 3 more scooties which were stolen from different areas of Jammu City were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
