SAMBA, Nov 8: Continuing its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction materials, a team of Samba Police Station today seized three tractors, in its jurisdiction.
Acting on reliable information, regarding illegal mining at Basanter river, Samba police under the overall supervision of Rajesh Sharma, SSP Samba, a team of police headed by Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia rushed to the spot and caught the culprits red handed who were engaged in illegal mining.
Three tractors bearing Registration Number, JK21A 8933, JK20B 5905 and one tractor without Registration Number were seized on the spot and the case, entrusted to Geology and Mining Department, Samba for further action.
