Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, July 6: In the much publicized spurious drugs scam, Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Puneet Gupta today granted interim bail to the suppliers Ashok Kumar Raina, Amardeep Raina and Akhil Gadoo with the direction to deposit Rs 50,000 each as bail and personal bonds. After hearing Advocate Sumeer Pandita appearing for the accused persons whereas CPO for the Crime Branch, Special Judge Anticorruption observed, “the accused having already suffered custody for more than two months, the investigating agency having already investigated the accused applicants, the trial may take some time to complete and accused being not manufacturer of drug supplied are the circumstances which weigh with the court to grant bail to the applicants”. The court, however, directed that the accused shall not leave the jurisdiction of the court and surrender their passport to the Investigating Officer.
