JAMMU, July 22: Three Special Police Officers (SPOs) of J&K police were arrested today with a heroin like substance by Miran Sahib police.
“A police party of police station Miran Sahib, while on naka checking at Brigade Road, stopped a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BK-8700, which was on way to Miran Sahib, a police official said, adding that on checking, 75 gram of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of three persons aboard the vehicle.
While 22 gram of heroin like substance was recovered from possession of Sunny son of Bua Ditta, resident of Barjalla, 26 gram was recovered from Khurshid Ahmed alias Kalu, son of Din Mohd of Barjalla and 27 gram was recovered from Javed Ahmed Mir son of Ghulam Mohd Mir, a resident of Kupwara.
“On questioning, it came to light that all three of them were SPOs. Based on this, a case FIR number 93/2019 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation taken up,” the official added.
