JAMMU, June 27: To commemorate Bank day falling on July 1, State Bank of India, Channi Himmat, handed over ceiling fans to the authorities of Rotary Interwheel Home for Mentally retarded Children, Channi Himmat, under its Corporate Responsibility Campaign.
SK Raina, Branch Manager, SBI, Channi Himmat, elaborated banks role as responsible corporate citizen in fulfilling corporate social responsibilities.
Among others present were Amit Kumar, Kailash Kotwal, Ruchi Bral, Ankush Sharma and Punjab Singh.
Meanwhile, State Bank of India, Hari Market branch, handed over ceiling fans to the authorities of Government Girls High School, Bhagwati Nagar, to commemorate Bank day falling on July 1.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Kumari, Principal of the School, appreciated the initiative of State Bank of India and expressed gratitude for extending support to their school.
AGM of the branch, SP Gupta, said that due to stellar corporate responsibility performance of all their branches and circles the bank was awarded the Golden Peacock Award for CSR 2012.
In addition to the staff of the school and students, Ram Raj Sharma, Nidhi Anand, Nirmal Dhar and VK Parimoo were also present.
While continuing its scheme of Corporate Social Responsibility, State Bank of India, Bari Brahmana, handed over five ceiling fans to the authorities of Government Girls Middle School, Rahya in presence of Zonal Education Officer Vijaypur.
While speaking, Branch Manager of SBI, Bari Brahmana said that maximum branches of the State Bank of India are distributing ceiling fans, water filters etc to schools to commemorate July 1.
ZEO Vijaypur, in his address appreciated the role of SBI for helping to boost the infrastructure of the Government schools.
Among others present were Suman Sharma, Sagar Singh, Ex Captain Narotam Singh, Shruti Kant, Darbar Singh and Gurdev Singh.
