KATHUA, June 26: Police today arrested three narcotic smugglers and recovered over four kilograms poppy straw from their possession.
Police spokesman said that police party from Hiranagar police station during naka checking intercepted a scooter bearing registration number JK08-8940 at Londi morh.
During checking, police recovered 4.4 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested three persons, who have been identified as Sunil Singh, son of Ashok Singh of Gurha Jattan, Ghagwal and Kamaljeet, son of Thoru Ram of Kootah and Roshan Lal, son of Radha Krishan of Dayala Chack.
A case under FIR number 87/13 under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Hiranagar Police Station and investigation started.
