JAMMU, Nov 30: Three persons were killed while two others were injured in road accidents.
As per police sources, a youth was seriously injured, while another escaped unhurt after their motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK14F-3680 was hit by a car bearing Registration Number JK02BS-6874 near Ambphalla chowk here today.
The seriously injured youth was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Himmat Bahadur (22), son of Jang Bahadur, a resident of Paloura District Jammu.
The driver of the car identified as Pritam Lal, son of Dev Raj of Amb Gharota District Jammu has been arrested and his vehicle has been seized.
A case under FIR Number 149/2020 under relevant Sections has been registered at Pacca Danga Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed and one another was injured when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle near Baspur Bangla area of RS Pura last night.
The deceased were identified as Sukhdev Singh, son of Gurcharan Singh and Sohan Lal, son of Chuni Lal, both residents of Suchetgarh District Jammu, while the injured was identified as Shanty, son of Darshan Singh, a resident of Suchetgarh.
A case under FIR Number 223/2020 under Sections 279, 337 and 304-A IPC was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
In another incident, a pedestrian identified as Gourav Kumar Gupta, son of Kasturi Lal of Ward Number 6 Akhnoor was injured after being hit by a motorcycle near Dudha Dhari Mandir Akhnoor.
He was rushed to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
A case under FIR Number 225/2020 under Sections 279 and 337 IPC has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
