POONCH, Apr 13: A mother and her daughter, were among three persons injured, when a stray and mad dog attacked them at Plera village in Tehsil Mandi of District Poonch today.
Family members and officials said that a stray and mad dog entered the house of Shabir Ahmed, son of Late Mohd Bashir and attacked her six-years-old daughter, Aqsa Batool, who was standing in the lobby. Her mother, Shaheen Fatima rushed to protect her daughter but the dog attacked her also. Leaving both of them injured, the dog then escaped.
In the adjoining locality, the dog attacked minor boy, Mutayab Ali (7), son of Mashooq Ahmed. All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Mandi for treatment. The local villagers then started searching for the mad dog and eliminating the same, protecting others from the attack.
Dr Sikander at SDH Mandi said that all the injured were treated here. He said anti-rabbies vaccine and serum were given to them. “The condition of all is stable” he added.
