JAMMU, Apr 22: RS Pura police today arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 10 gram of heroin from their possession.
“A police party of police station R S Pura, led by SHO, Inspector Chanchal Singh, while on routine checking in Chak Aslam area, came across three persons who tried to suspiciously avoid the police party,” a police official said, adding they were caught hold by the alert police party.
The official said that on search, 10 gram of heroin was recovered from their possession. “All the accused persons namely Wasim Khan son of Anayat Ullah, resident of Ward No 9 (Bishnah), Rohit Kumar son of Ashwani Kumar, resident of Chak Aslam (RS Pura) and Ramesh Lal son of Sukhdev Raj, resident of Chohala (RS Pura) was arrested on the spot and the heroin was seized,” he added.
He further said that a case FIR No 61/2018 under Section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act was registered at police station RS Pura and further investigation was underway.
