JAMMU, Dec 30: Three hardcore criminals have been booked under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, three hardcore criminals identified as Pawan sharma alias Deepu, son of Ashok Kumar of Bhour Camp Chatha, Simranjot Singh, son of Daljeet Singh of Chatha and Gurpreet Singh, son of Harpal Singh of Chatha farm have been booked under PSA.
All the three criminals were involved in various attempt to murder, extortion and burglary cases registered with police station Miran Sahib, Gandhi Nagar and Satwari. The accused persons were also involved in smuggling of narcotics drugs. Two illegal fire arms were also recovered from their possession.
The dossier for detention of accused were submitted in the office of District Magistrate Jammu Simrandeep Singh by SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta and the former issued PSA warrant against theses hardcore criminals, which was executed by the police.
Police team led by Incharge Chatha police post SI Sandeep Charak executed the warrant under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
