3 drug peddlers arrested with cannabis

JAMMU, Jan 9: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three drug peddlers and recovered cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station laid a naka near Railway Morh and intercepted a Wagon-R car.
During checking, police recovered 600 grams cannabis from the possession of three persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hussain Shah, Mohammad Rafiq, son of Abdul Ahad Malik and Sabzar Ahmed, son of Ghulam, all residents of District Shopian.
A case under FIR Number 7/19 under section 8/20/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Vipan Chandran, SP South Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
