3 drug peddlers arrested with poppy straw

JAMMU, Nov 17: Bahu Fort police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested three drug peddlers along with around 15 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station apprehended three drug peddlers along with around 15 kilograms of poppy straw.
The arrested persons have been identified as Pankaj Kumar, son of Subash Chander of Pacca Talab Bahu Fort, Aniz Mirza, son of Syed Parvez Mirza of Kachi Chawni and Parveen Kumar Sharma, son of Maan Chand Sharma of Ramnagar, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 290/18 under section 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Pervaz Sajjad made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli, SP South Vinay Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
