JAMMU, Feb 8: A police party of Police Station, Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SHO Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Usmaan Choudhary, SDPO, Bari Brahmana laid a surprise naka near Aum Hospital Bari Brahman & intercepted one Honda City car bearing registration No. JK02AK-9899.
During the checking of vehicle 8.5 grams heroin (Chitta) like substance along with weighing machine (Micro) and six syringes were recovered from the possessions of Wasim Akram alias Sonu S/o Mohd Hanief R/o Bhaderwah, Azim Iqbal S/o Mohd Iqbal, R/o Chakka Bhaderwah and Sunil Kumar alias Tony S/o Gareeb Dass R/o Krishana Nagar Jammu all are presently residing at Residency Road Jammu.
The accused persons were arrested along with contraband items. In this regard case FIR No. 17/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.The drive against the drug menace in Samba district has been launched under the directives SSP Samba, Anil Mangotra.
