JAMMU, Mar 28: Three-day special NSS camp concluded today at Government College of Education (GCoE) Jammu with a valedictory function.
The camp on the theme SVEEP awareness was organised under the leadership of Dr Jyoti Parihar, Principal of the College and Prof Sarita Dogra, NSS PO.
The Principal, while speaking on the occasion, shared valuable words on the SVEEP campaign and asked students to celebrate the upcoming elections as a festival.
On the occasion, Associate Prof Jeevan Dhar from MAM College delivered a special address to the students on how and when electoral system emerged and why is it important for all of us to participate in the process. He also urged students to take interest in the national politics.
Various activities such as poster making, slogan writing and games were conducted inviting students to showcase their talents. The special camp witnessed an equally enthusiastic participation from faculty members Dr Shubhra Jamwal (SVEEP Nodal Officer), Prof Roopa Kumari, Prof Satish Kumar Sharma and Prof Ambica Sharma.
NSS volunteers were facilitated with the certificates of participation. A vote of thanks was presented by Prof Kiran Thapa.
