SAMBA, Jan 28:  Secretary Jammu and Kashmir KVIB, Mir Afroz     today inaugurated three day district level exhibition cum sale of Khadi and Village Industries products organized by the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) at Block Development Office Vijaypur.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB Santosh Saraf, Deputy Chief Executive Officer PMEGP Muzzafar Nasir Alaqaband, District Officer Ramprasad besides officers of various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals were present on the occasion.
About 16 stalls were set up by the department to display the products manufactured by the KVIB units. Experts from different fields were also present to disseminate information and to guide the youth for setting up their own income generating units.
Addressing the gathering, Mir asked the youth to avail optimum benefits of the various schemes run by the department. He called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth to become job providers instead of job seekers. He impressed upon officers present to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach to the real beneficiaries timely.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB  Santosh Saraf, said that local industry holds the required potential to ameliorate unemployment from the state and KVIB is making all out efforts to provide employment to all the unemployed youths especially those residing in rural areas.
Earlier, District Officer   KVIB  Ram Prasad Samba presented a resume of activities of the board.
