JAMMU, Jan 22: “2nd Vision Jammu and Kashmir”, a three-day exhibition aiming at promoting science, technology, research and development and our cultural heritage commenced here today.
The event was inaugurated by Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member of Parliamant, Rajya Sabha and graced by the presence of many eminent personalities.
Various Government departments like Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Power Grid, Department of Biotechnology, Bureayu of Indian Standards, Building Material and Promotion Council, Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), Marine products Exports Development Authority, etc will share their knowledge, experiences and deliver interactive sessions on various topics during the exhibition.
“The expo has been organized to make the youth aware of the researches and experiments in various fields” shared Anad Pal, Director, Vision Secretariat. He further said that the event will furnish information to the visitors and focus on bringing benefits of latest innovations and research schemes.
The exhibition provides information about various development activities in the core sector of infrastructure, the technological advancement made and expertise available. It is highlighting Government policies and programmes for the masses who are encouraged to take part and grasp the awareness programmes offered on the sectors like industries, Health and Family welfare, Indian Syatem of Medicine, Education, Research and Development, Science & Technology, Power and Energy, Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Technologies and Empowerment.
The event will continue till January 24 and entry for it is made free to ensure that maximum number of people can avail the benefit.
