3 bootleggers arrested

RAJOURI, Mar 22: The police arrested three bootleggers in Rajouri district and recovered smuggled liquor from their possession.
Based on specific information, a police team led by SHO Rajouri laid a naka at Salani bridge and apprehended one person namely- Parveen Singh, son of Ganga Ram, resident of Dhanwan Kallar and recovered 21 bottles of liquor from his possession.
During naka, another person, identified as Zulfqar Ahmed, son of Kala Khan, resident of Muradpur was intercepted near Salani and police team recovered 22 bottles of liquor from his possession.
Two separate FIRs 132/19 U/S 48-A Excise Act and FIR 133/19 U/S 48-A Excise Act have been registered in Police Station, Rajouri.
Similarly, police team from Nowshera headed by SI Ajaz Parvez under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and Addl SP Nowshera GL Sharma laid a naka near SBI Chowk and apprehended one person namely Polla Ram, son of Gian Chand, resident of Seri, Nowshera.
During his frisking, 13 bottles of liquor were recovered which were meant for illegal sale.
In this regard a case FIR 43/2019 U/S 48(A) Excise Act has been registered and investigation taken up.
