Srinagar, Apr 1: Police today arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of sand and bajri in central-Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Police said that on receipt of information, a police party from Police Station Khansaheb raided the spot and seized three tractors and a JCB loaded with illegally extracted and transported sand and bajri from Shaliganga Nala Arampora.
The accused have been identified as Showkat Ahmed Sofi , Jasarat Hameed Baba and Showkat Ahmed Ganie all residents of Dreygam Kasipora Khansaheb. A case (FIR number 41/2021 under relevant Sections of law) has been registered and further investigations set in motion.
