REASI, Apr 1: Police arrested an alleged rapist, who was absconding for the last three years, and charge-sheeted him in the court.
The arrested accused, namely Qayoom Hussain (21), son of Mohd Shafi of Mallan Bathoi, was absconding since 2018 in case FIR No 32/2018, U/S 376/199/203/109/RPC, 4 POSCO Act and 4/Infant Marriage Reservation Act 1985, registered at P/S Mahore.
He had committed rape and fled from the area. The case was registered at Police Station Mahore on the written complaint of the victim. On the basis of scientific evidences- medical examination of the woman, expert opinions of Forensic Science Laboratory and oral statements, charge sheet was produced before Sessions Court Reasi.
