Srinagar, Apr 1: The Traders’ Federation Baramulla has deferred the protest rally that was scheduled to be held on April 2 following assurances from the local administration.
The traders had decided to take a protest rally against a range of civic issues confronting Baramulla town. The issues include car parking, installing street lights macadamization of different roads, and smooth functioning of vehicular movement in the town.
In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar, convened a meeting in his office wherein the traders were assured redressal of their demands in next fifteen days.
“The Deputy Commissioner constituted two separate committees to work out the modalities in meeting out the genuine demands put forth by Traders Federation Baramulla within the stipulated time. Therefore, Traders Federation Baramulla has deferred the peaceful protest demonstration against the step-motherly approach of District Administration which was going to be held tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. at main Chowk Baramulla,” general secretary Tariq Ahmed Mugloo, said.
