3 arrested for cheating during border battalion exam

JAMMU, Oct 26: Three persons have been arrested for cheating during J&K Police’s border battalion exam here today.
As per official sources, an aspirant identified as Sandeep Singh, son of Kulbir Singh of Dablehar Tehsil RS Pura was caught cheating by using a Bluetooth device during border battalion examination at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kachi Chawni.
The officers conducting the examination informed the police.
A team from Police Station Pacca Danga led by SHO Inspector Rakesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu rushed to the spot and arrested the aspirant.
A case FIR Number 128/2022 under sections 420 IPC and 66 D IT Act has been registered against the arrested aspirant at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a complaint was received on behalf of Omesh Thakur Inspector (Examination Centre Supervisor) attested by Surjeet Kumar (SP) Center Superintendent Government Higher Secondary School Shastri Nagar that one student namely Mohammad Raqeeb impersonated with one person namely Isran Elahi in exam.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 277/2022 under sections 417, 419, 420 and 34 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and arrested Isran Ilahi.
In another similar case, a complaint was received at Police Station Gandhi Nagar on behalf of Deepankar Singh Inspector (Examination Centre Supervisor) attested by Surjeet Kumar (SP) Center Superintendent GHSS Shastri Nagar Jammu that one candidate namely Gurpreet Singh, son of Surjeet Singh of Chak Chhataka used mobile phone concealed in his turban during said exam.
On this, a case FIR Number 278/2022 under sections 417 and 420 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and the said aspirant has been arrested.
Further investigation into the cases is going on.
