RAMBAN, July 23: Police arrested three persons for assaulting a man carrying bovine animal.
According to SSP Ramban, a man namely Abdul Hamid Sheikh was carrying a buffalo to his home, when a tiff took place between him and Parbhat Singh of Inhar area of Ramsoo, yesterday.
SSP said that Parbhat Singh joined by his other family members assaulted Abdul Hamid Sheikh, in which the latter got injured. The assaulters also snatched away Rs 10,000 from the victim.
The injured was shifted to hospital, from where he was discharged after treatment.
A case under FIR Number 57/18 under Section 341, 323 and 382 RPC was registered at Ramsoo Police Station and three persons have been taken into custody.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
SSP said that the case was not of cow vigilantism and advised the general public not to pay heed to any mischievous propaganda.
