29 cases settled in Lok Adalat

KATHUA, Dec 28: A total of 29 cases were settled today by Lok Adalat held in the premises of District Court Complex, Kathua.
The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Kathua. Two benches were constituted for the Lok Adalat.
The Bench No 1 was comprised of Sanjeev Gupta, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Kathua and Aarti Mohan, secretary, District Legal Services Authority (Sub Judge), Kathua while Bench No 2 was comprised of Amit Sharma, Special Mobile Magistrate, Kathua and Preet Simran Kour, Munsiff, JMIC Kathua.
A total number of 29 cases including criminal, traffic challan and pre-litigation bank cases were settled and disposed off in the Lok Adalat. Moreover, the settlement amount of Rs 1,68,000 in Bank cases has also been passed in favour of the banks and a fine of Rs 3150 was recovered on the spot.
