27 bovine animals rescued

Jammu, July 8: Police today foiled separate attempts of bovine smuggling and rescued 27 animals besides arresting the accused persons.
Acting on specific information that some persons were on way towards Kashmir along with bovine animals without any legal permission and had reached near Choudhary Narh Dewal Tehsil Mahore,   a Police team from PP Dewal, under the supervision of SHO Mahore Ayaz Ahmed foiled the smuggling bid and rescued 7 bovine animals from the possession of accused person namely Mohammdoo of Shibrass Mahore.
The accused person has been arrested and a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Mahore.
In a separate case, 9 more bovine animals were rescued from the possession of accused person namely Mohd Sharief of Sarh Mahore at Mangnar Dewal by Police party of PP Dewal, The accused person has also been arrested. He was also carrying the bovine animals towards Kashmir illegally.
In this connection, another case under Section 188/RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
Meanwhile, the police seized 11 bovine animals and arrested two smugglers in district Rajouri last night.
Reports said police party led by  Incharge Police Post Chingus SI Mohd Fareed laid a naka at Chatyar last night  and  seized  Tata Mobile No. 9357-JK04A. The cops rescued 05 bovine animals which were being transported to  Srinagar via Mughal Road. The police arrested one  Mohd Tariq, son of  Munshi Khan, resident of Jaglanoo in Kotranka.
Nowshera police led by SHO  Chaman Gorkha  during naka at Rajal seized  a vehicle No. JK11A-2849 and rescued four bovine animals.The police seized the vehicle and registered a case FIR number 123/2015 in this connection.
Ramban police led by Insp Arun Kotwal, SHO Batote  laid a  naka at Baggu nallah, Batote and intercepted Tata mobile bearing register number 3709-JK-AX for checking and rescued five bovine animals. The driver of the vehicle, Zakir Hussain son of Hassan Din, resident of Thopul was arrested.
