25 kanals forest land cleared, 2 structures demolished

RAJOURI, May 20: The Forest Department team in a joint operation at Jamola village of Kalalkass Block in Kandi area of Rajouri Forest Division,  today cleared 25 kanals of land which was grabbed by two villagers.
The Forest team led by Range Officer Kandi,  Nissar Hussain and Forest Protection Force Inspector Rehmat, assisted  by Dy Magistrate and Police party organised an operation at Jamola in Kandi  area and removed encroachment from 25 kanals of Forest land. There was some opposition by the villagers during the operation but it was affectively thwarted by the police and Forest team.
The land grabbers  had also raised two semi pacca structures which were smashed by the team. The villagers who had grabbed this Forest land were identified as Mohd Ayub, son of Hussain Mohammed and Mohd Yunis, son of Mohd Yousuf, hailing from Jamola area.
The over all operation was carried out under the supervision of DFO Rajouri, Anup Kumar Soni and Conservator of Forests, Jammu West Circle Sameer Bharti. They said that similar operations will be continued in Rajouri  and Nowshera Forest Divisions in near future.
