24 bovines rescued, 3 held

REASI, July 4: Arnas and Mahore police rescued 24 bovine animals and arrested three persons.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police team from Arnas police station laid a naka at village Thuroo and intercepted two persons carrying bovines.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and were arrested on the spot. The accused have been identified as Lakhia, son of Rehmat Ullah and Mohammad Sadiq, son of Mohammad Dawood, both residents of Kokernag, Kashmir.
Police rescued 13 bovine animals from their possession, which they were carrying towards Srinagar on foot to dodge the police.
A case under FIR number 54/15 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at police station Arnas and investigation started.
Police team led by SI Ram Rattan from Arnas police station made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Arnas Sanjay Gupta, SDPO Arnas Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz, Additional SP Reasi Sanjay Singh Rana and SSP Reasi Sujit Kumar.
Meanwhile, police team from Mahore police station arrested a person and rescued 11 bovine animals from his possession at Bhall area.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Gani, son of Jamal Din of Bathoie, Tehsil Mahore.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at police station Mahore and investigation started.
