SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag today ordered suspension of 23 Medical officials who were found absent during surprise visit of various Health institutions across the district.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, the Additional DC accompanied by Tehsildar Bijbehara paid surprise visit of various Health institutions and checked the attendance of the employees.
During the visit, they inspected District Hospital, Anantnag, Sub-District Hospital Bijbehara, Sub-District Hospital, Dooru, Sub-District Hospital, Kokernag, Sub-District Hospital, Seer Hamdan, MCH Anantnag and Primary Health Centre Mattan. They checked the attendance registers of the respective Health institutions and found 23 officials including medicos, para-medicos and other ministerial staff absent from their duties. All the absentees have been put under suspension and action against them would also be taken under rule.
