JAMMU:
Twenty three people were killed and 35 injured when their bus plunged into a gorge in Udhampur district.
“A bus on way to Udhampur this morning skidded off the road when the rear tyre of the bus got burst near village Samroti in Latti area,” police sources said.
They said 23 passengers were killed and 35 were injured. Of the injured, the condition of 25 is stated to be critical. Police, Army and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
“Rescue operation is still in progress while the injured are being shifted to the district hospital from where seriously injured are being shifted to the Government Hospital Jammu,” police added. (AGENCIES)
