22 vehicles seized in Rajouri

RAJOURI,  July 5: The police in a special drive launched in the town against wrong marking and violating  traffic rules seized 22 vehicles and challenged 65 vehicles in the town here today.
On the directions of the SSP Rajouri, Rajeshwar Singh,  SHO Rajouri Chaman Gorkha launched special operation and challenged 65 vehicles. There were  complaints of the general public that  people park their bikes and cars on the road and lanes, causing disruption in smooth movement of vehicles and public on the roads in Rajouri town.
During special operation the  police party led by SHO seized 22 bikes/ cars and challaned total 65 vehicles. The seized vehicles were taken to Police Station. The public was also issued warning not to go for wrong parking and cause disruption in movement of  traffic specially at Gujjar Mandi, Jawahar Nagar and Bus Stand area.  The police warned that wrongly parked vehicles/ bikes will be lifted and fined  heavily.
Meanwhile, police party led by CAPD officials conducted market checking in the town and recovered a fine of Rs 6400 from the traders for default.
