JAMMU : At least 22 people were injured, two of them critically, when a bus they were travelling in turned turtle in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A bus on way from Katra to Udhampur this morning turned turtle near Army crossing in Garhi area of Rehmbal as driver lost control,” police here said.
They said police and locals immediately had rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
Deputy Commissioner Udhmapur Dr Shahid Iqbal along with SSP and ADC had also rushed to the spot and shifted injured to military hospital.
More than 15 patients were shifted to district hospital after emergency treatment at Military Hospital, they added. Four ambulances were deployed in the process.
“Two of the injured including a girl child were critical and they are being treated at district hospital,” police added. (AGENCIES)
