JAMMU, Oct 6: Nagrota police rescued 21 bovine animals and arrested three smugglers.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number AS25EC-7757.
During checking, police team rescued 21 bovine animals from the truck and arrested three persons, who were identified as Sultan Ali, son of Abdul Ali of Assam, Mohammad Latief, son of Babu of Miran Sahib and Salim Khan, son of Janat Khan of District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 377/2020 has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
