SRINAGAR : Twenty fresh guests from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while nine Kashmiris crossed to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives separated in 1947.
As many as 13 returnees also crossed sides at Kaman Post, the last Indian military post on the LoC in Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here this afternoon.
They said 20 PoK guests arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bridge on foot. They included nine women and a child, sources added.
They said six Kashmiris, including a woman, who had gone to PoK also returned to their homes after completing stay with their relatives, separated in 1947.
Nine Kashmiris, including two women and as many children, crossed to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives, they said adding seven PoK residents also returend to their homes in the Karvan-e-Aman bus operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad since April 7, 2005.
So far the bus service has helped thousands of families living on both sides of the LoC to meet each other. (AGENCIES)
