SRINAGAR, Oct 13: At least 20 people were injured after ceiling of a Government school building caved-in in South Kashmir’s Kulgam town today.
Police said that a team from Electronic Communication India limited (ECI) had arrived in village Nagam, Damhal Hanjipora to enroll the residents of the village under Adhaar Card Scheme.
The team had camped on the second storey of a rented Government School Building. Reports said that more than two hundred people thronged the place leading to collapse of the ceiling of the first floor of the building.
Around 20 people were injured as the ceiling collapsed and computers were also damaged.
Two of the injured, Haneefa, wife of Abdul Ahad Khan and Abdul Ahad Malik, son of Muhammad Ramzan, both residents of Salamkani Nagam were badly wounded and referred to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment.
