2 thieves arrested, stolen vehicle recovered

DODA, Oct 15: Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen vehicle from their possession.
As per police sources, on October 11 this year, a complaint was lodged by Ajeet Kumar, son of Nand Lal, a resident of Machlota with Police Station Doda stating that during the intervening night of October 10 and 11, some unidentified persons decamped his Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK06-2557.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 214/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were picked up and finally police achieved success to get two thieves arrested, who had stolen the vehicle.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ghulam Qadir, son of Noor Mohammad, a resident of Babore and Shabir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hussain, a resident of Dhara. On their disclosure, the stolen vehicle was recovered from Babore area.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Raghubir Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarter Doda Iftakhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
