UDHAMPUR, June 22: Police today solved a gang rape case by arresting both the accused persons.
Police spokesman said that four days back one Seemo, wife of Mushtaq Ahmed of Kandal accompanied by her sister Maroma, wife of Manzoor Hussain of Rathian lodged a verbal report at Police Station Udhampur that she was raped by two persons namely Shabir Ahmed and Sher Ali both the residents of Darsoo village.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and stated investigation. During the course of investigation, Udhampur Police under the direct supervision of Additional SP Benam Tosh arrested both the accused, who were later remanded to police custody for five days.
