JAMMU, July 23: The Government today attached two Executive Engineers (X-Ens) and suspended an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Power Development Department for disturbances in distribution/ supply of electricity to the consumers.
Official sources said that in view of the disturbances observed in the functioning of Grids in the jurisdiction of these above mentioned officers in Jammu in the recent past, an inquiry was initiated by the Principal Secretary Power, Rohit Kansal.
Taking serious note of the issue, Principal Secretary, Power attached I/C Executive Engineer TLMD-II, JKPTCL, Jammu, Sanjeev Kumar Rohmetra and I/C Executive Engineer , STD-I, JPDCL, Jammu Bishan Dass to the Administrative department with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, in view of consistent failure to respond to the public grievances regarding irregular supply of electricity under his jurisdiction, Principal Secretary PDD, today placed Incharge AEE, Vivek Gupta posted at Sub Division Canal of Electric Division-III, Jammu (JPDCL) under suspension. During his suspension, the officer shall remain attached to the Administrative Department.
The Government has directed all the Division and Sub Division level officers and other PDD field staff to respond to the public grievances in case of power failure and keep their mobile/ land line phones on even after office timings.
