MENDHAR, Nov 26: The police today arrested two more persons including an Army jawan for a double murder case which took place in Mendhar tehsil of district Poonch last week.
Those arrested nabbed today are identified as Armyman Adnan Ahmed of 17 JAKLI and Zaheer Abbas, sons of Mohd Razak, residents of Saruti village in Mendhar. All the six persons involved in the murder of Army Havaldar
Ayaz Ahmed and his brother Zaffar Iqbal are now behind the bars. They were murdered by the members from Mohd Razak’s family. They have been booked vide FIR No. 165/2013. Adnan had fled to his unit at Gulpur in Poonch after the murder.
The police party led by SP Amit Bhasin (SDPO Mendhar) and SHO Bishnesh Kumar approached Army authorities and secured the arrest of murder accused Adnan. Both have been remanded to police custody till November 30.
They have been subjected to sustained interrogation now.
