JAMMU, July 21: Police arrested two ladies for selling illicit liquor from village Morhol, falling under the jurisdiction of Arnia police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in village Morhol and apprehended two women along with 26 litres of illicit liquor. Around 200 litres lahans and containers were also destroyed by the police team.
The arrested ladies identified as Soma Devi, wife of Madan Lal and Renu Devi, wife of Dev Raj, both residents of Morhol were selling the illicit liquor near their houses.
A case under FIR Number 64/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Arnia police station and investigation started.
